About Email writer

The emails that are hardest to write are often short: asking a stranger for something, answering a message you've let sit too long, chasing a reply without sounding pushy. The email writer drafts all three. Choose New email for a first or cold email, Reply to answer a message you paste in, or Follow-up to nudge an earlier one, then say in a sentence or two what you want to get across.

Pick a tone (professional, friendly, formal, persuasive or apologetic) and a length: short is about 50 to 90 words, medium 100 to 160, long 180 to 250. Claude, Anthropic's AI model, writes a subject line and a body with a greeting and a sign-off. Anything you didn't tell it, such as a name, a date or a price, appears as a [placeholder] rather than being made up, so the draft never promises something you didn't say.

When it reads right, copy it, save it, or press Open in email app to start a message in your own mail program with the subject and body filled in; nothing is sent from this page. The draft follows the language of your notes by default, or you can choose one of sixteen languages.

The writer doesn't know your relationship with the recipient or your company's house style, so read the draft once and adjust it. Don't paste passwords, account numbers or other private data you wouldn't put in an email to a stranger.

Privacy

Your notes, and for a reply or follow-up the email you paste, are sent only when you press Write email: to our server, then to Anthropic's API to write the draft. None of it is stored or logged by us, and Anthropic doesn't train models on API data. Open in email app hands the draft to your own mail program on this device; the page itself sends no email. Option choices are kept in this browser.

Email writer: frequently asked questions

How do I write a cold email that gets a reply?
Keep it short, say early why you're writing to this person in particular, and make one request that is easy to answer. The New email option is set up that way: one clear ask, no hype and no false familiarity. Add a specific detail about the recipient to your notes, since a cold email that could go to anyone is easy to ignore.
Does the email writer send emails for me?
No. It only writes the draft. Open in email app starts a new message in your device's default mail program, with the subject and body filled in, and you choose the recipient and press send yourself. Nothing is sent from 10.tools, and we never see who you write to or whether you send the message at all.
Can it reply in the same language as the email I received?
By default it writes in the language of your notes, so if you write your notes in the language the reply should be in, that's what you get. If your notes are in one language and the reply should be in another, for example notes in Uzbek and a reply in English, pick the language in the menu, which lists sixteen.
What do the [placeholders] in the draft mean?
They mark details the email needs but you didn't provide, such as [Name], [Company] or [date]. The writer is told not to invent names, prices, dates or results, because a confident made-up detail in an email is worse than a gap. Replace each placeholder before sending, or add those facts to your notes and write the email again.
Is it safe to paste an email I received?
The pasted email is used once to write your reply and isn't stored or logged by us; it passes through Anthropic's API, which doesn't use it for training. Still, treat it as you would any online service: remove passwords, bank details, ID numbers and anything confidential before pasting. Up to 4,000 characters of the original are accepted on the free plan.
