How to use Photo & signature resizer

  1. 1

    Pick your exam or form

Choose SBI, IBPS, SSC, UPSC, NEET, JEE or a Bangladesh Teletalk portal from the list, or enter the width, height and KB range from your own notice under Custom size.

  2. 2

Add the photo, then the signature

Each tab takes its own JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC file, so a phone picture of a signature on paper works as well as a scan.

  3. 3

    Frame it

Drag or resize the crop box, which keeps the shape the form needs; rotate a sideways picture. For the signature, raise the background threshold until the paper turns white.

  4. 4

    Check the result and download

The result card shows the image at its real pixel size, the KB and exact byte count and a checklist; save it as a file named like photo-200x230.jpg.

Limits and Pro

Free: one photo and one signature at a time, source images up to 25 MB each; outputs up to 4,096 px on the longest side, JPEG only.

Pro raises the source-image limit from 25 MB to 4 GB for each of the two files. See Pro

About Photo & signature resizer

Government exam and job portals in South Asia reject an upload that is a few pixels or a few kilobytes off, and most free compressors can't hit a range such as "20 KB to 50 KB" at exactly 200 × 230 pixels. This tool produces that file. It resamples your crop to the required pixels, then encodes a standard baseline JPEG again and again, searching the quality setting until the size lands inside the window. It never changes the pixel size on its own: if a busy photo is still too heavy at quality 20, it tells you to crop closer or use a plainer picture, and when a notice merely prefers a size that a clean signature can't fill to the minimum, it offers a 2× or 3× version of the same shape for you to choose.

Presets come from the bodies' own documents where we could read them: SBI's 2026 PO notice, SSC's 2026 notices (6.0 × 2.0 cm signature, 10–20 KB; the photo is captured live), UPSC's application form (20–200 KB photo, triple signature 350–500 px a side), and NTA's NEET and JEE bulletins. IBPS figures and the Teletalk KB limits come from third-party guides and are labelled that way. Each preset shows when it was last checked, with a link to the notice.

For signatures, a clean-up step evens out shadows, turns the paper white, darkens or keeps the ink colour and trims to the strokes. Kilobytes are counted as 1,024 bytes, and the file also stays under the limit counted in 1,000-byte units.

It does not check face position or background like a passport-photo tool, and it won't pad a tiny file with junk to reach a minimum that a plain image can't honestly reach.

Privacy

Cropping, signature clean-up and the JPEG size search all run in this browser tab: resampling uses the pica library and the repeated encoding runs in a Web Worker with the MozJPEG WebAssembly encoder, fetched from this site after you add an image. Your photo and signature are never uploaded; HEIC pictures also load the libheif decoder from the jsDelivr CDN, a download that carries none of your data. The chosen preset and clean-up settings are remembered in this browser's local storage; the images are not stored.

Features

Exam presets with sources

SBI, IBPS, SSC, UPSC, NEET, JEE and Teletalk sizes, each with a last-checked date and a link to the notice.

Lands inside the KB range

A quality search hits windows like 10–20 KB at the exact pixel size, and shows the byte count.

Signature clean-up

Whitens a phone photo of paper, keeps or blackens the ink and trims to the strokes.

Photo & signature resizer: frequently asked questions

What is the photo and signature size for SBI and IBPS forms?
SBI's 2026 notice asks for a photo of 200 × 230 pixels between 20 KB and 50 KB, and a signature of 140 × 60 pixels between 10 KB and 20 KB, both JPG, calling the pixel sizes preferred. Third-party guides list the same figures for IBPS PO, Clerk and RRB, but we couldn't read IBPS's own notice, so confirm in yours before you apply.
Why does the portal say my file is too big when it shows 50 KB?
Forms may count a kilobyte as 1,024 bytes or 1,000 bytes, and some reject a file sitting exactly on the limit. A 51,000-byte file is 49.8 KB to Windows but 51 KB to a form counting in thousands. This tool aims under the maximum in both units and over the minimum in both, and shows the exact byte count so you can compare.
My signature comes out below the 10 KB minimum. What can I do?
A small, mostly white image is cheap to store, so even at top JPEG quality it can stay under a minimum. SBI calls 140 × 60 px preferred, so the result card offers 280 × 120 or 420 × 180 px of the same shape. You can also switch off paper whitening. The tool won't pad the file with hidden data to fake the size.
How do I resize the SSC signature to 6 cm × 2 cm?
SSC's 2026 notices ask for a JPEG of 10 to 20 KB measuring about 6.0 × 2.0 cm. The SSC preset makes a 472 × 157 pixel image and writes 200 DPI into the file, which works out at 6.0 × 2.0 cm. SSC doesn't take an uploaded photo; the application captures your face live with a webcam or phone camera.
Can I make a signature from a photo taken with my phone?
Yes. Sign in black ink on white paper, photograph it flat in daylight, and add the picture on the Signature tab. The clean-up evens out shadows, turns the paper pure white and darkens the strokes; the threshold slider decides how much becomes white, and trim crops to the ink with a small margin before the file is fitted to the required pixels.
