About Days between dates & countdown
Three date tools share this page. Days between counts the calendar days from one date to another and breaks the span down into years, months and days, whole weeks, business days, weekend days and the equivalent hours, minutes and seconds. A switch decides whether the end date counts as a day, which matters for things like hotel nights (it doesn't) versus a conference that runs Monday to Friday (it does).
Business days exclude Saturday and Sunday by default, but you can mark any set of weekdays as the weekend — Friday and Saturday across much of the Middle East, or just Sunday for a six-day week — and add your own public holidays or company closure days. Only holidays that land on working days are subtracted, so a holiday on a Saturday is never counted twice.
Add / subtract moves a date forward or back by years, months, weeks and days, or by a number of business days, and returns the resulting date with its weekday, ISO week number and day of the year. Use it for notice periods, payment terms such as net 30, visa stays, warranty end dates or project deadlines.
Countdown shows the days, hours, minutes and seconds until an event at a chosen time in any time zone, can fill the whole screen for a party or a classroom, and gives you a link that opens the same countdown for anyone. Calendar math never uses local clock time, so daylight-saving changes cannot shift a result by a day.
Privacy
All counting happens in your browser; the dates, holidays and event names you enter are not sent to any server. They are stored in the page address and this browser's local storage so a copied link or a later visit shows the same calculation.
