Generate fancy text fonts

Turn text into bold, italic, script, bubble and other Unicode styles you can paste into bios, posts and names.

Use fancy text sparingly
These are Unicode symbols, not real fonts. Screen readers may spell them out letter by letter (“mathematical bold capital H…”) or skip them, search engines and hashtags don’t match them, and some older phones show empty boxes. Keep important words — names, links, hashtags — in plain text.

About Fancy font generator

Instagram bios, TikTok names, Discord nicknames and X posts don't let you pick a font, but they all display Unicode — and Unicode contains complete alphabets of bold, italic, script, gothic, double-struck and monospace letters, originally added for mathematics. This generator rewrites what you type into 36 of those styles at once, plus bubble and boxed letters, upside-down and backwards text, strike-through and underline effects made with combining marks, and decorative frames like ꧁༺ wings ༻꧂.

The conversion follows the Unicode tables exactly. A few letters were encoded years before the rest of their alphabet, so they live in the Letterlike Symbols block instead: script ℬ, ℰ, ℱ, ℋ, ℐ, ℒ, ℳ, ℛ, ℯ, ℊ and ℴ, fraktur ℭ, ℌ, ℑ, ℜ and ℨ, double-struck ℂ, ℍ, ℕ, ℙ, ℚ, ℝ and ℤ, and italic ℎ. Generators that skip this step produce invisible or reserved characters; here every letter shows up. Accented letters keep their accent as a combining mark, and digits are converted wherever the style has them.

Tap any row to copy it, star the styles you use most so they stay at the top, and filter by family. Small caps, superscript and subscript have no Unicode form for every letter, so those few stay plain and the row says so.

Fancy letters are separate characters, not formatting. They don't show up in searches or hashtags, many screen readers announce them as mathematical symbols or skip them, and older phones may draw boxes — so use them for short accents, not whole paragraphs.

Privacy

Each style is produced by a lookup table in this page, so your text is converted locally and never sent anywhere. The last text you typed, your starred styles and the chosen filter are remembered in this browser's local storage.

Fancy font generator: frequently asked questions

How do fancy fonts work on Instagram and TikTok?
They aren't fonts at all. Each styled letter is a different Unicode character — 𝐀 (mathematical bold capital A) instead of A — so it looks bold wherever text can be pasted, with no app support needed. That's why styled text copies into bios, captions, usernames on some apps and comments, but also why it can't be searched or edited back into plain letters easily.
Why do some letters show up as boxes or question marks?
The device viewing the text doesn't have a font that contains that symbol. Mathematical letters are supported by current iPhones, Android phones, Windows and macOS, but older systems, some smart TVs and a few in-car screens lack them. Bubble and boxed letters are the most widely supported; enclosed lowercase letters and the newest symbols are the least.
Can screen readers read fancy text?
Often not well. VoiceOver, TalkBack and NVDA may read 𝓗𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓸 as “mathematical bold script capital H, mathematical bold script small e…” or skip it entirely, which makes a bio or post confusing for blind and low-vision readers. Use styled text for a word or two of decoration and keep names, links and calls to action in normal letters.
Can I use fancy text in my username?
It depends on the platform. Display names on Instagram, TikTok, Discord, X and YouTube usually accept Unicode styles, but the @handle or account name normally allows only plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores. Games such as Fortnite, Xbox and PlayStation reject most symbols, so check the field's rules before relying on a style.
Will fancy text hurt my search ranking or hashtags?
Yes, for the styled words. Search engines and in-app search index 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝 as different characters from bold, so a profile name or hashtag written in a fancy style won't match what people type. Hashtags in particular stop working. Keep keywords and hashtags in plain text and decorate the words around them instead.
