Nepali date converter について
Bikram Sambat (विक्रम संवत्, BS) is Nepal's official calendar. Citizenship certificates, passports, school leaving certificates, land records and Lok Sewa applications all use it, and anyone applying abroad or comparing a BS birth date with an AD one needs the exact day. This page converts a BS date to the Gregorian AD date and back for 1970 to 2100 BS, that is 13 April 1913 to 12 April 2044.
BS is a solar calendar about 56 years and 8 months ahead of AD. Its year begins on 1 Baisakh, between 13 and 15 April, and its months last from 29 to 32 days, because each one runs from the sun's entry into one zodiac sign to the next. There is no formula for those lengths, so converters depend on a table. Ours was compared year by year with seven open-source converters and with the Hamro Patro calendar; where they disagree, past years take the value most of them share and future years the one closest to Hamro Patro.
Results show the date in English and in Nepali, २०८३ कात्तिक ४ गते, with the weekday and the same day in twelve other calendars. The chart lists every BS year with its New Year date, the AD years it spans, the year in Devanagari digits and the year's length of 365 or 366 days.
Month lengths for 2084 BS and later are projections: the calendar committee publishes each year shortly before it starts, and a future date may move by a day when it does.
