Circle crop image について

A circle crop cuts a round area out of a rectangular image and makes everything outside it transparent. The result is a square PNG whose side equals the circle's diameter: crop a 4000 × 3000 photo with the circle at full size and you get a 3000 × 3000 image with four transparent corners. Because PNG keeps the alpha channel, the round picture sits cleanly on any background, which is what you need for a website team page, a presentation slide, an email signature, a forum avatar or a round logo badge.

The circle is always drawn at the original resolution, with smooth anti-aliased edges. You decide what goes inside it by dragging, and how much of the picture it covers with the size slider, from 10% to 100% of the shorter side. A ring can be added around the crop in any colour and thickness, with a soft shadow, which is a popular style for profile pictures. You can also fill the corners with a solid colour instead of transparency and save a JPG, for places that don't accept PNG.

Social networks such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Telegram show profile pictures as circles but expect a square upload and apply the round mask themselves. For them, a square crop works better than a transparent circle, because transparent corners may turn black or white after upload. To remove the background behind a person first, or to make a profile photo with a coloured backdrop in the right size for each network, use the profile photo maker.

プライバシー

Cropping happens on a canvas in your own browser and the PNG is encoded on your device, so the picture is never sent to a server and isn't kept after you leave.

Circle crop image:よくある質問

How do I make a circle image with a transparent background?
Open the image, drag the circle over the area you want and download. The corners outside the circle are transparent and the file is saved as PNG automatically, because PNG supports transparency while JPG does not. On a page with a white background the corners look white in some viewers; the checkerboard in the preview shows that they are really see-through.
Why did the corners turn black after I uploaded the PNG?
Some apps and social networks flatten transparency when they process an upload, and they often fill it with black or white. Networks that display round avatars crop the circle themselves, so give them a square image instead. If you need the round look anyway, set Outside the circle to the colour of the page where the picture will appear.
What size is the circle crop?
The output is a square as wide as the circle's diameter, measured in the original image's pixels. At 100%, the diameter equals the shorter side of the photo, so a 1920 × 1080 picture produces a 1080 × 1080 PNG. A ring adds its width on every side. Resize the result afterwards if a site asks for a specific size such as 400 × 400.
Can I add a border or outline around the circle?
Yes. Press Add a ring, or open the Border mode, and the border follows the round shape. Choose any colour and set the width as a percentage of the circle; a drop shadow can be added too. Text can be placed on top, for example a name across the bottom, and colour or black-and-white effects apply to the photo inside the circle.
Can I crop several images into circles at once?
Yes, add up to 10 images on the free plan. They share the same circle size and relative position, so a set of similar headshots, or of logos centred on a square, comes out consistent. Click each thumbnail to check the framing, and download them all together as a ZIP. Pictures that need individual framing are best cropped one at a time.
