Excel to XML について
Excel to XML writes the rows of a spreadsheet as XML: one element per row inside a root element, with the column headers as names. A sheet with the columns sku, name and price becomes <rows><row><sku>A-1</sku><name>Pen</name><price>1.5</price></row>…</rows>, or, with columns as attributes, <row sku="A-1" name="Pen" price="1.5"/>. Both element names can be changed — products and product, for instance — to match what the receiving system expects.
Headers rarely make valid XML names on their own, so they are repaired: spaces and punctuation become underscores, a header starting with a digit gets a leading underscore, and two columns with the same header become name and name_2. Cyrillic and other non-Latin headers are allowed in XML and kept as they are.
Values are written as the sheet stores them, not as displayed: 1200 rather than $1,200.00, dates as ISO 8601 (2026-03-31, with the time when there is one) and formulas as their last calculated result. Empty cells become empty elements, or are left out if you prefer smaller records. Special characters are escaped, and the file is UTF-8 with an optional XML declaration.
CSV files work the same way, with the delimiter and the text encoding — UTF-8, Windows-1251 or Windows-1252 — detected or chosen by hand. Switch off "First row is the header" for a sheet without one; columns are then called Column_1, Column_2 and so on. Only one sheet is converted at a time.
プライバシー
The workbook or CSV is read with SheetJS in a worker inside this tab and the XML is written there too; nothing is uploaded and the file isn't kept.
