計算方法
tax = net × rate · gross = net + tax
Adding tax to a price before tax.
net = gross ÷ (1 + rate) · tax = gross − net
Taking tax out of a price that includes it.

Amounts are kept in whole cents (or the currency's smallest unit) and the rate is applied exactly, so the only rounding is the one you choose for the tax. When you take tax out of a price, the tax amount is the figure that gets rounded and the net is what is left.

A tax with several parts, such as India's CGST and SGST or Canada's GST and QST, is rounded part by part. Indonesia's PPN for ordinary goods is 12% of a base worth 11/12 of the price, which is 11% of the price.

GST calculator について

Since GST 2.0 took effect on 22 September 2025, most goods and services in India are taxed at one of two slabs, 5% or 18%, with a 40% rate for luxury and sin goods such as aerated drinks, large motorcycles and online betting. A few special rates sit outside the slabs: 3% on gold and silver jewellery, 1.5% on job work on diamonds and 0.25% on rough diamonds and precious stones. Each slab is a button here, with examples of what it covers.

Enter a GST-exclusive price to see the tax added, or a GST-inclusive price, such as an MRP, to see the taxable value inside it. For a sale within one state or union territory the tax is shown as CGST plus SGST (or UTGST), half the rate each; switch to an inter-state supply and it becomes a single IGST line. CGST and SGST are each rounded to the paisa, as they appear as separate lines on a tax invoice.

The Invoice lines view handles a bill with items in different slabs, for example 5% groceries and 18% household goods, and totals the taxable value, CGST, SGST or IGST and the invoice amount per slab.

The same page works for GST elsewhere: Australia's 10%, New Zealand's 15%, Singapore's 9% and Canada's GST and HST rates are in the country list. The calculator does not look up HSN or SAC codes, compensation cess, input tax credit or the reverse charge mechanism.

プライバシー

The GST arithmetic runs in this page, in your browser; prices, slabs and invoice lines are never sent to a server. The last values you used are saved in local storage on this device, and the price, slab and supply type are written into the page address so a link you copy opens the same calculation.

GST calculator:よくある質問

How do I calculate GST from an inclusive price?
Multiply the inclusive price by 100 and divide by 100 plus the rate to get the taxable value; the rest is GST. For ₹1,180 at 18%: 1,180 × 100 ÷ 118 = ₹1,000 taxable value and ₹180 GST, which is ₹90 CGST and ₹90 SGST within a state. Choose Remove GST and enter the inclusive amount to have this done for you.
What is the difference between CGST, SGST and IGST?
On a sale inside one state, the central government collects CGST and the state collects SGST (UTGST in a union territory), each at half the rate, so 18% becomes 9% plus 9%. On a sale from one state to another, or an import, the centre collects a single IGST at the full rate and passes the state's share on. The buyer pays the same total either way.
What are the GST rates after GST 2.0?
From 22 September 2025 the old 12% and 28% slabs were folded into a simpler structure: 5% for many everyday goods, 18% as the standard rate and 40% for luxury and sin goods. Gold and silver jewellery stays at 3% and rough diamonds at 0.25%, while fresh produce and unpacked milk remain nil-rated. Tobacco products changed separately, so check their current notification.
Why might CGST and SGST differ by a paisa from 18% of the price?
Each part is rounded on its own, because a tax invoice shows CGST and SGST as separate amounts. Rounding 9% twice can land one paisa above or below rounding 18% once: on a taxable value of ₹10.05, CGST and SGST are ₹0.90 each, ₹1.80 together, while 18% is ₹1.81. You can switch the rounding to down or up under Options if your billing software does it differently.
Does this work for GST in Australia, Singapore or Canada?
Yes. Open the country box and pick Australia (10%), New Zealand (15%), Singapore (9%) or Canada, where the buttons cover 5% GST, the 13%, 14% and 15% HST provinces and GST plus provincial sales tax in Quebec, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. For Canada's combined rates the GST and the provincial tax appear as two separate lines.
