TIFF to PDFの使い方

  1. 1

    Drop the TIFF files

Add up to 10 .tif or .tiff files from a scanner, a fax inbox or an archive. A multi-page TIFF counts as one file.

  2. 2

    Check every page

Each page of a multi-page TIFF gets its own preview, labelled with the file name and page number, so you can remove blank pages.

  3. 3

    Fix order and paper size

Drag pages into order, rotate sideways scans, and choose A4 or Letter so large scans print at their real size.

  4. 4

    Make the PDF

Press Create PDF and download one document containing every page you kept, in the order shown.

制限と Pro

Up to 10 files per PDF, 50 MB each; up to 200 pages from each multi-page TIFF.

Pro accepts 500 files of up to 4 GB and up to 5,000 pages from each TIFF. Pro を見る

TIFF to PDF について

TIFF is the old workhorse of scanning: document scanners, fax servers, medical and legal archives and many multifunction printers still save pages as .tif files, often with dozens of pages in one file. Browsers other than Safari can't display TIFF at all, and most portals want PDF, so this page reads TIFF itself. UTIF.js, a small open-source decoder running in a Web Worker, handles uncompressed, LZW, PackBits, Deflate and JPEG-compressed TIFFs as well as CCITT Group 3 and Group 4, the compressions fax machines use for black-and-white pages.

Every page of a multi-page TIFF becomes a separate PDF page that you can reorder, rotate or delete before building the document. Black-and-white pages are stored as lossless PNG, which keeps thin strokes and small print exact and stays compact; colour and greyscale pages are stored as high-quality JPEG at 92%. Reduced-size preview copies that some scanners write into the file next to each page are skipped, so they don't show up as extra pages.

Scanners record pages at 200 or 300 DPI, but Same as image sizes pages at 96 pixels per inch, which makes a 300 DPI scan huge on paper; choose A4 or US Letter with Fit instead and the page prints at its normal size. The result is a picture of each page: the text isn't searchable until you run OCR on the finished PDF. Orientation flags inside the TIFF are not applied, so use the rotate button on any page that comes out sideways.

プライバシー

The TIFF files are decoded by UTIF.js in a Web Worker in this tab and the PDF is written by pdf-lib in another worker; neither the scans nor the PDF are uploaded. That matters for the medical records, contracts and faxes TIFF files often contain.

TIFF to PDF:よくある質問

Can I convert a multi-page TIFF to one PDF?
Yes. When you drop a TIFF with several pages, it is split into one preview per page, labelled with the file name and the page number, while it is read. All the pages land in the same PDF in their original order unless you drag them around. You can also drop several multi-page TIFFs together and interleave their pages before creating the document.
Which TIFF compressions are supported?
Uncompressed, LZW, PackBits, Deflate (Adobe ZIP), JPEG and old-style JPEG, plus CCITT Group 3 and Group 4 for black-and-white fax and scanner pages. One-bit, greyscale, RGB, palette and CMYK images are converted to normal colours. Very unusual variants, such as JPEG 2000 inside TIFF or 32-bit floating-point scientific images, may fail; such a file shows an error and the rest of your files still work.
Why are my scanned pages so large in the PDF?
With Same as image, each page is sized at 96 pixels per inch, while scanners use 200, 300 or even 600. A 300 DPI A4 scan is about 2480 pixels wide, which becomes a page of almost 26 inches. Pick A4 or US Letter with Fit and the scan is scaled to the paper, so it prints at its true size and the image keeps every pixel.
Is the text in my TIFF searchable after the conversion?
No. A TIFF holds only a picture of the page, and the PDF made here holds that same picture, so you can't search or copy the words yet. Run the finished PDF through OCR PDF on this site: it recognises the text in your browser and adds an invisible text layer on top of each page, without changing how the scan looks.
Do black-and-white fax pages lose quality?
No. Pages stored with one bit per pixel, which is how faxes and most text scans are saved, are written into the PDF as lossless PNG, so every dot stays exactly where it was and the file stays small. Colour and greyscale photos inside a TIFF are saved as JPEG at 92% quality, a level at which the difference from the original is very hard to see.
