Make a chart or graph

Turn numbers typed or pasted from a spreadsheet into a bar, line, area, pie, donut or scatter chart and download it as PNG or SVG; the chart is drawn in your browser and the data stays on your device.

Chart makerの使い方

  1. 1

    Enter or paste your data

Type into the grid or paste cells from a spreadsheet; the first column is the labels, the others are series.

  2. 2

    Pick a chart type

Choose bar, line, area, pie, donut or scatter, then stack, smooth or turn bars sideways if it suits the data.

  3. 3

    Label and style it

Add titles, axis names and value labels, set the number format, colours, background and image size.

  4. 4

    Download or copy

Save a PNG at 1×, 2× or 3×, an SVG for design tools, or copy the image, and copy the alt text with it.

Chart maker について

A chart for a slide, a report or a social post shouldn't need a spreadsheet program and a screenshot. Type your numbers into the grid, or copy a block of cells from Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers and paste it into any cell, and the chart redraws as you go. The first column holds the labels, such as months, products or cities, and each further column becomes a series, up to eight series and 100 rows.

Six chart types cover most needs: bars (vertical or horizontal, side by side or stacked), lines with optional smoothing and point markers, areas, pies and donuts for shares of a whole, and scatter plots with an optional trend line. Add a title, subtitle and axis titles, move the legend, show values on the bars or percentages on the slices, and write numbers your way with a currency sign, a unit, fixed decimals and 1,234.5, 1 234,5 or 1.234,5 separators. Long axes switch to 10K and 2M automatically.

The default colours are an eight-hue palette checked for colour-blind readers in both light and dark charts; there are also shades of blue for ordered series, greys for print, this site's theme colours and a picker for each series. Turn on patterns when a chart will be printed in black and white. Save a PNG at up to three times the chosen size, or an SVG that stays sharp at any zoom and opens in Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape, Word and PowerPoint.

Every chart comes with alt text describing its highest and lowest values, ready to paste beside the image. It is not a dashboard: there is no live data link, dual axis, map or 3D chart.

プライバシー

The numbers you type or paste are drawn into a chart by this page on your device, and exports are made locally; nothing is sent to a server. Your table and settings are kept in this browser's local storage so they are still there after a reload, and Start over replaces them with the sample.

主な機能

Paste from any spreadsheet

Tab, comma and semicolon tables are recognised, headers included.

Readable by everyone

Colour-blind-checked palette, optional patterns, a legend and generated alt text.

Crisp SVG and PNG

Vector SVG with tooltips, or PNG up to 8,000 px for print.

Chart maker:よくある質問

How do I paste data from Excel or Google Sheets?
Select the cells in your spreadsheet, including the header row if you have one, copy them and paste into the top-left cell of the grid. The block fills the grid from that cell, adding rows and series as needed. You can also open Paste data and drop in CSV text, or open a .csv file; tab, comma, semicolon and pipe separators are all recognised.
Which chart type should I choose?
Use bars to compare amounts across categories, lines for change over time, and areas when the size of a total over time matters. Pies and donuts only work for parts of one whole with a few slices; for close values a bar chart is easier to read. Scatter plots show whether two measurements move together, with an optional trend line.
Are the chart colours colour-blind friendly?
The default palette's eight colours are ordered so neighbouring series stay distinct under the two most common kinds of colour blindness, and they were checked against both the white and the dark background. Series are also named in a legend, and the Patterns switch adds hatched fills, so no reader has to rely on colour alone to tell them apart.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG works everywhere: chat apps, social posts, email and slides. Pick 2× or 3× so it stays sharp on high-resolution screens and in print. SVG is a vector file that scales without blur and can be edited in Figma, Illustrator or Inkscape; it also carries the alt text and hover tooltips, which makes it the better choice for web pages.
Why do some cells turn red?
A red outline marks a value cell that isn't a number, so it is left out of the chart. Numbers can include thousands separators, a currency sign or a percent sign, such as 1,250, 1 250,5, $40 or 12%, and empty cells simply leave a gap. Words, ranges like 10-20 or dates in the value columns can't be plotted.
