Stem splitterの使い方

  1. 1

    Load the track

Drop the song you want to practise or study, as an audio file or a video. This page starts in 4-stem mode.

  2. 2

    Run the split

Press Separate. Four networks run one after another on each 12-second block, so expect about twice the time of a plain vocal removal; the 79 MB model downloads only the first time.

  3. 3

    Build your practice mix

Mute the part you play, for example the drums for a drumless track or the bass for a bassless one, and listen to the band without it.

  4. 4

    Save stems or your mix

Download each stem, all four in a ZIP, or press Save the mix you hear to get just the muted-out version as one WAV or MP3 file.

Stem splitter について

Stem splitter breaks a mixed song into four tracks: vocals, drums, bass and other, where other holds the guitars, keyboards, strings, horns and everything that isn't voice, drums or bass. It is the same in-browser separator as the vocal remover, opened in 4-stem mode with Deezer's four-network Spleeter model.

Musicians use it to make play-along tracks. A drummer mutes the drums and practises with the original band; a bassist does the same with the bass; a singer keeps only the music. Saving the mix you hear writes exactly that combination to one file, ready for a phone, a practice amp with an aux input or a looper. Producers and students use the separate stems to study how a part was played, to transcribe a bass line, or to sample a drum break.

Each stem is a stereo WAV or MP3 at 44.1 kHz and the same length as the song, so the four files line up in any DAW and sum back to the original. The model separates up to about 11 kHz and shares out the very top of the spectrum, so hi-hats stay bright in the mix.

There are limits to what four stems can show. Guitar and piano are not split from each other, a busy arrangement can put a little bass into other, and kick drums with a long boom sometimes leave a trace in the bass stem. Songs without a drum kit or bass simply give near-silent stems for those parts.

プライバシー

All four stems are computed by a worker in this tab on your computer or phone; the song is never sent to a server. The browser downloads only the runtime from jsDelivr and the model files from huggingface.co, and keeps the model until you remove it.

Stem splitter:よくある質問

How do I make a drumless or bassless practice track?
After the split, press the mute button on the drums row (or the bass row) and listen: the play position stays in sync while you switch. When it sounds right, press Save the mix you hear. You get one file containing only the stems that are playing, named after the parts it contains, in the format chosen under Save as.
Can it separate guitar, piano or strings?
Not individually. The 4-stem model knows vocals, drums and bass; every other instrument goes to the Other stem together. A song with one guitar and nothing else besides drums, bass and vocals effectively gives you a guitar stem, but a band with keys, guitars and strings leaves them mixed in Other.
How long does a 4-stem split take?
Roughly twice as long as 2 stems, because four networks run instead of two. In our test on one core of a 2.1 GHz processor, without a graphics card, a 4-minute song took just under two minutes. With WebGPU in Chrome or Edge and a capable graphics card it can be much quicker; on phones expect it to be several times slower.
Why is there a little bass in the drum stem?
A kick drum and a bass guitar often play the same low notes at the same moment, and the model has to divide that energy between them. Most of it lands in the right stem, but a soft thump or boom can stay behind. Under a full band you rarely notice it, and for practice tracks it doesn't matter.
Do the four stems add up to the original song?
Yes. The model's four masks share every slice of the sound between the stems, so the parts always sum to 100 percent. Play all four together, or import them into a DAW at the same start point, and you hear the original song, apart from small differences if you save MP3, which is lossy.
