Change background について

Changing a photo's background means two jobs: cutting the subject out cleanly, and placing it on something new so it looks as if it had been photographed there. The first is done by an AI segmentation model running in your browser; the second is what this page is set up for. It starts with a plain white backdrop, the usual requirement for marketplaces, catalogues and many online forms, and lets you swap it for any colour picked by swatch or hex code, a vertical gradient from eight presets or two colours of your own, a picture you upload, or a blurred version of the original.

An uploaded background is scaled to cover the whole frame and centred, so it never leaves empty edges; choose one with roughly the same proportions as your photo to control what stays visible. The subject is composited with a soft alpha edge, so hair, fur and semi-transparent fabric blend into the new scene, and the Smooth edges and Shrink / grow sliders tidy halos left over from the old background. The result keeps the original pixel size.

Typical uses are product photos on white or a brand colour, a portrait on an office-style grey or blue, a holiday photo moved in front of a different view, and consistent backgrounds across a set of listings. The new background doesn't change the lighting on the subject, so a person lit by warm indoor light on a cool beach scene can look pasted in; pick a backdrop with similar light. How do I change the background of a photo to white?
Add the photo: the background is already set to Color with white selected. Once the AI has found the subject, download the JPG. Check the edges in the preview first; if a grey outline from the old background remains, move Shrink / grow under Edges a little below zero, which pulls the cut-out inward by a pixel or two.
Can I use my own picture as the new background?
Yes. Choose Image under Background and pick a file; it is resized to fill the frame without distortion and centred behind the subject. Landscape photos, office interiors and textures all work. The picture stays on your device like the main photo. To change it, use Replace background image and the preview updates immediately.
How do I add a gradient background?
Select Gradient and click one of the eight presets, or set the Top and Bottom colours yourself with the colour pickers or hex codes. The fade runs vertically from top to bottom. Soft gradients suit portraits and profile pictures, while darker ones make bright products stand out. The gradient is drawn at the photo's full resolution.
Why does the subject look pasted onto the new background?
Usually because the lighting doesn't match: shadows, colour temperature and the direction of light come from the original scene. Choose a backdrop with similar brightness, or a neutral colour that doesn't suggest a light source. A slightly softened edge with Smooth edges also helps, and so does picking the High quality model for objects with complex outlines.
Which format should I download?
JPG is the default because a new background makes transparency unnecessary and JPG files are small, which online shops and forms prefer. Choose PNG for lossless quality, for example if you plan to edit the result further, or WebP for small files on a website. All three are saved at the photo's original width and height.
