NIT check digit calculator について
Every NIT in Colombia is written with a dígito de verificación after a hyphen, as in 890.903.938-8, and the DIAN, electronic invoicing systems and banks reject the pair when that digit doesn't match. Accountants filling in a RUT form, developers building an invoicing module and suppliers onboarding a new client all need to get it right, and the digit is easy to compute once you know the weights.
Read the NIT from its last digit to its first and multiply each digit by the primes 3, 7, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 67 and 71 in that order, add the products and divide by 11. A remainder of 0 or 1 is itself the check digit; any other remainder r gives 11 − r. The same rule applies to a company's nine-digit NIT and to the NIT of a person, which is their cédula number.
This page opens on the calculator: type the NIT without its digit, with or without dots, and the full number appears. To audit a supplier list, paste NITs with their digits on the Check tab, one per line, written 900123456-8, 900.123.456-8 or 9001234568; the last digit is taken as the DV, and each line says whether it matches. The Generate tab makes test NITs with nine- or ten-digit bases.
The calculation can't tell you whether a NIT is registered or active in the RUT, or to whom it belongs; that information is in the DIAN's own consultation, which this page never contacts.
プライバシー
NITs and cédula numbers you enter are processed only by the code in this page; no request sends them to the DIAN or any other server, and nothing is kept after you leave.
